“Practitioners of SI do not feel ourselves to be therapists. The gravitational field is the therapist. What we do is prepare the body to receive the support from the gravitational field which gives a greater sense of well being.”

–Dr. Ida P. Rolf (1896-1979)

There are many ways to explain Structural Integration and many lenses through which we can approach our work together. You might have found yourself curious about this method because of an injury, chronic pain, emotional wellbeing, or for spiritual reasons. We can hold space for all of that throughout our process together.
SI is holistic manual therapy, that prioritizes working as a team to address your unique goals and help you find the change you're seeking. We are working not only with the human structure, but how our structure relates to gravity, through movement. We are working not only with places of pain, but understanding how to find support throughout the body as whole. We are learning about relationships within the body and how to move with full support and a newfound sense of balance. As Dr. Ida Rolf said, "where you think it is, it ain't." This means that, for example, while you may have reached out because of hip pain, it's possible we will address the arches of your feet, if we notice that they are affecting one another.

This journey brings the possibility of finding ease, balance, alignment, inner perception and knowledge of how to find our way out of pain, and move with fluidity through life in our bodies and our minds.

This work is an embodiment journey.
This journey helps us find new options, learn new patterns, and find comfort within ourselves.
This work is life changing.

The Rolf Method 10-series Structural Integration is bodywork that addresses the structure and posture with manual therapy and movement in a way that allows for a person safely adapt to changes that bring stability and fluidity to everyday life. Clothing is worn. Movement assessments are done before and after session. There are no oils used. Each session has a goal and addresses specific parts of the body throughout that session. After completing a 10-series, many people express that they feel better, freer, more supported, and more confident in their movement. Personal structural challenges are discussed and clients choose a goal for their 10-series. We work towards your success together.

Structural Integration work can be experienced by humans of any age. Some practitioners work with animals as well. Kristine works with clients 18 years and older who arrive with many different types of circumstances. If necessary, she will refer you out to a different type of practitioner if they can better address your unique needs.
